1. Eligibility

1.1 Open to individuals or teams.
1.2 Intended for students and early-career professionals, but all may participate.

2. Registration & Fees

2.1 All participants must complete official registration by 10/15/25.
2.2 All participants must pay the non-refundable registration fee as listed on the UAID website by 10/15/25 unless the participant is an Advanced Tier or Leaders Tier member or the participant had paid for the 2025 UAID Health Leadership Conference .
2.3 Late or incomplete submissions may be disqualified.

3. Submission Requirements

3.1 Submit a 10-slide presentation per competition brief.
3.2 Content must be original; copyrighted materials require permission or citation.
3.3 By submitting, participants grant UAID a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use their materials (with attribution) for educational or promotional use.

4. Judging & Selection

4.1 Judging conducted by UAID-appointed experts.
4.2 Scores follow the published rubric.
4.3 Judges’ decisions are final.
4.4 UAID may disqualify inappropriate or non-compliant entries.

5. Prize

5.1 First-place receives US $250 and certificate.
5.2 Taxes are the winner’s responsibility.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Participants retain IP rights.
6.2 UAID receives a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, adapt, and display submissions for any UAID purpose.

7. Participant Obligations

7.1 All participants agree to complete a short survey about their experience following the competition.
7.2 Winning individual or team agrees to provide UAID with:
a) A short written quote about their experience;
b) A photograph suitable for publication;
c) A recorded video (3–5 minutes) describing their participation and reflections.
7.3 UAID may edit, publish, or use these materials in any medium for marketing, educational, or fundraising purposes, without further approval or compensation.

8. Representations & Warranties

Participants affirm their work is original, lawful, and non-infringing.

9. Privacy & Publicity

9.1 UAID collects participant data solely for administration and reporting.
9.2 Participants consent to UAID’s public use of their name, affiliation, and submitted materials in connection with the competition.

10. Liability & Indemnification

Participants assume all risks and release UAID from liability for losses or damages related to participation.

11. Modifications & Termination

UAID may amend, postpone, or cancel the competition at its discretion, with notice posted online.

12. Governing Law

Governed by the laws of North Dakota. Disputes resolved in North Dakota.
