    Meal Preparation for Chronically Ill Individuals

    Members of the UAID Chapter at Northeastern University volunteered weekly at Community Servings, a non-profit organization that provides medically tailored, nutritious meals to chronically ill individuals and their families in Greater Boston by helping to prepare and package meals for the community.

    Teaching Elementary School Children about Health Eating

    15 members of the UAID Chapter at the College of William and Mary developed interactive lesson plans on nutrition and healthy eating practices. Students visited the local elementary school once a week to present their lesson plans and engage in activities. Children gained knowledge about the importance of a balanced diet, healthy eating practices, and an active lifestyle.

    The UAID Chapter at the University of Maryland hosted an event featuring In Da Shop that aimed to facilitate The conversation surrounding mental health in traditionally ethnic upbringings, and how that translates into the mental and physical wellbeing of first and second-generation college students.

    Members of the UAID Chapter at the University of Virginia organized a pickleball tournament fundraiser to raise awareness about the prevalence of Alzheimers in the Charlottesville community.

    HIV Awareness and Testing at Pop-Up Clinic

    Members of the UAID Chapter at Vanderbilt University volunteered at Nashville Cares Pop-Up Clinic during Murfreesboro Pride. There, students distributed over 10 HIV test kits, flyers, and helped provide on-the-spot-test at the Nashville Cares Mobile Clinic, helping to get over 20 individuals tested for HIV at the event.
