UAID Health Equity Leadership Conference – Abstract Submission Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
Abstract submissions are open to active UAID members. Basic (free), Advanced, and Leaders Tier memberships qualify.
Membership must be valid at the time of submission and maintained through the date of the Conference.
Abstracts must be the original work of the submitting author(s). Submissions that contain plagiarized material or infringe upon copyright will be automatically disqualified.
2. Important Dates and Deadlines
Abstract Submission Deadline: January 3, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)
Abstract Decision Notifications: by February 9, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)
Late-Breaker Abstract Deadline: February 28, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)
Late-Breaker Decision Notifications: by March 21, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)
Abstract Booklet Published: March 28, 2026
Late-Breaker Abstracts
“Late-Breaker” abstracts provide an opportunity to share time-sensitive research or recent findings that became available after the regular submission deadline. These abstracts will undergo an expedited review and decision processto ensure timely inclusion in the official abstract booklet.
3. Submission Requirements
By submitting an abstract, you agree to the following rules:
Abstracts must be between 250–300 words in total length.
Abstracts must include the following clearly labeled sections:
Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions.Abstracts must identify all authors and affiliations, including one corresponding author with valid contact information.
Each abstract must align with UAID’s mission to advance health equity, community-driven solutions, and sustainable impact in underserved populations within the United States.
All submissions are final. Revisions after the deadline will not be accepted.
Abstracts must be submitted through the official UAID submission portal. Submissions via email or other means will not be considered.
Accepted authors must be available to present during the Virtual UAID Health Equity Leadership Conference.
4. Review Process
Each submission will undergo a blinded peer review by the UAID Selection Committee.
Reviewers will evaluate submissions based on the UAID Conference Assessment Guidelines, focusing on:
Alignment with health equity principles
Methodological rigor
Clarity of presentation
Community relevance and impact
Authors may receive conditional acceptance with feedback and must return requested revisions by the specified deadline.
The UAID Selection Committee’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
5. Assessment Guidelines
Abstracts will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

6. Publication and Permissions
Accepted abstracts will be published in the official UAID 2026 Abstract Booklet, to be released on March 28, 2026.
By submitting an abstract, authors grant UAID a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to edit, reproduce, and publish their abstract (in print and digital formats) for conference-related purposes.
Authors retain copyright ownership of their work.
7. Presentation Requirements
Abstracts accepted for oral, poster, or slide presentations require at least one author to participate in the Virtual UAID Health Equity Leadership Conference.
Presenters must comply with all UAID presentation guidelines and deadlines. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal from the program.
8. Ethical Standards
All research involving human subjects must have appropriate IRB or ethics committee approval, where applicable.
UAID reserves the right to withdraw any abstract found to violate ethical, academic, or professional standards.

10. Acceptance of Terms
